About the ProgrammeThe programme covers topics of interest – for example, accessing help if English is not your first language; consumer issues; tenancy/housing; employment issues. It's presented by a mixture of paid staff and trained volunteers (bureau workers). Last year (2005/2006) the following eleven locations answered 59,367 enquiries from members of the public. The eleven locations in the Wellington Region where you can access the CAB services are:

Fully trained volunteers give free, confidential, impartial advice - friendly helpful people just waiting to help.
The things that we can help you with at any Citizens Advice Bureau include: Housing and tenancy (including flatmate and boarder agreements), budgeting, finance and tax, personal; family and community issues, hobbies; sports and social activities, consumer rights, work and unemployment, where to access free legal advice, immigration, JP services, letters typed and most other issues.
