Easy Steps to Getting On-AirIt can be quite daunting to think about making a new radio programme and getting it on-air, so we have broken the process down into six easy steps. Step 1. Visit the StationMake a time to visit Access Radio and take a tour of the studios with the Programme Director. We will then sit down and chat about your programme idea. You will be given an information pack with an air-time application form for you to complete and return. Step 2. Your Programme IdeaThe Programme Director will look through your air-time application form, the current programme schedule, and then balance it against Access Radio's broadcasting obligations and objectives. If your air-time application is successful they will contact you to set a first-broadcast date. Step 3. Setup Your AccoutMake a time to meet with the Accounts Manager to complete a membership form, pay the annual membership fee and setup a four-weekly automatic payment for your programme (we have a four-weekly billing cycle, and bill prior to programmes going to air). Step 4. TrainingOur Sound Engineer will see what your radio training needs are and then make a time for you to come into the studios. Training is easy and fun. You can learn as little or as much technical operation as you like. Step 5. WelcomeWe will then make sure all of your information is entered into our databases and send you a welcome letter confirming the programmes first broadcast date. Step 6. You are On-AirYou are ready to begin broadcasting! The team at Access will continue to help you learn and develop skills in making radio. |
