About the Programme

Our programme is Kiwi Forces Radio and it's about linking the families of soldiers overseas with their loved ones who are working on deployments offshore. The aim is to provide a sense of community for those serving with the New Zealand Defence Force. Often NZDF personnel are working in far flung places on their own or with only one or two other Kiwis nearby, so they can feel a bit isolated.

We have music requests, messages and voxpops from members of the public, other servicemen and women as well as sounds from home, like barbeques and the like.

I, Chris Wright, the NZDF's Media Manager and Corporal LaJane Nicholls present the programme and we can be contacted at Defence Headquarters here in Wellington or through NZDF
