Make Radio
Anyone can apply to make a programme on Wellington Access Radio. We give priority to local people whose voices are not always heard, especially ethnic minorities, religious minorities, women, youth, children, people with disabilities, special interest groups, and people with different ethical points of view.
- You can broadcast in English or in any other language.
- You can live anywhere in the world and be broadcast on Wellington Access Radio.
- You can use our professional broadcast studios in the central city, or send us the completed programme on CD or via your computer (using FTP).
- Your main audience can either be on the radio or on the Internet.
- All programmes are eligable to be considered for Internet broadcasting (On-Demand/Download).
- You can make a one-off programme or have a regular broadcast (weekly, fortnightly, once-a-month).
- Programme lengths can range from 14 minutes to 2 hours.
- Small air-time fees apply - however you can seek sponsorship to cover these costs.
- To find out more about making a programme please contact us.
- You may also want to consider some of the volunteer opportunities that the station has to offer: announcing, interviewing and promotions - or let us know if there's anything else you'd like to lend us a hand with.
- You can download the application form, or if you have any questions please contact us.
