About the ProgrammeOye latino! began as Voz Latinoamericana on November the 7th,2005 from 5pm to 6pm every Monday. It was then prerecorded until this year when we switched from Monday to thursday 6pm til 7.30pm. The first experience gave us enthusiam and for me to do a live programme was more important. The change was good.
In San Francisco California, I did 24 years of community radio for the Latino Community. Since then I learned the importance of the Latin American History, alive in our times, with its values, culture, music and its politics. All throughout peoples struggles for understanding our being, of what we became in the last 516 years in our continent, originally called Abya Yala.
I receive very valuable collaboration from Argentina, Armando Baudin, from Peru, Jose Tapia and Toni Carson from New Zealand alone these years. The outcomeof this experience is another edition of Oye Latino! Sundays at 8.30pm.
If we stay together in respect to our coincidences and differences we will be able to grow as a Latin American community.
