Make a Programme

Anyone can make a programme on Wellington Access Radio. Our top priority is those whose voices aren't heard on main stream radio - especially ethnic and religious minorities, women, youth, children, people with disabilities, special interest groups, and other minorities.

Are you interested in making a radio programme or online podcast? We'd love to help you get your voice heard. No project is too big, small, unusual or difficult. If you have something to say, we'll help you find a way!

There is a small charge for air time and an annual $10 membership for two people per programme.  Groups can find sponsorship, apply for grants and fundraise to pay for their radio programmes.

We play New Zealand music as often as we can. If you or a muso you know would like to get your tunes on our playlist, send them to tony@accessradio.org.nz.

Keen to volunteer and help us fill the gaps on air? You can record NZ Music blocks - 28 minutes of your favourite New Zealand music with a bit of chatter in between. A great way to dip your toes in to community radio before starting your own radio programme!
