Head TechnicianTony Kemp
Tony has been working at Wellington Access Radio since 2011, and his tasks include programming the station playlist, recording, working with programme-makers and delivering training. Tony played, recorded and toured with the band Supermodel for many years, and can still be found behind the drums most weekends, playing at gigs and events around the country with covers band The Relatives. Technician and Music Programming
Jonny Marks
Jonny started working at Wellington Access Radio at the beginning of 2022 and his work involves helping record and edit programmes, putting shows online for streaming, and sourcing new music (including the Friday Feature Album) to keep our playlist full of local greatness. Jonny is also a board member of the Sound and Light Exploration Society, involved with Pyramid Club, and is an active musician – look him up and see if he has any gigs coming up! Jonny has worked as a healthcare assistant and a teacher aide, and says that the best thing about working at Wellington Access Radio is ‘people’. ‘We live in a city full of community, people creating rich lives together, and alongside one another. Access Radio feels like a node, a confluence of stories, a place to gather together in advocacy and debate.’ Jonny also eats everything and loves flavour – and accepts any offers to try something new (his desk is at the station).
